What you will do

As a member of the R&D team, you as a QA Engineer will coordinate and conduct testing on a project-by-project basis, and:

  • Develop test plans and test cases, run test scripts, provide test reports for each application in our suite;
  • Report and record defect and bugs in a timely manner; assess their priority and severity; and close resolved issues;
  • Provide regular follow-up on the application's quality, identify issues and provide qualified reporting into our issue tracking tool (Jira);
  • Ensure our action plans are on-track and optimized, working closely with the Development and Design teams
  • Review functional specification and design documents to create test plans and ensure that all requirements are testable;
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the quality assurance process

You would work with 2 Data Support Engineers ensuring the quality of the platform daily. Development takes place in short cycles with regular staging and production deployments as the product evolves. We work in a non-formal Agile mode with 2-week sprints during which the team shares the ongoing topics and makes code reviews.

What we are looking for

Here is what our ideal candidate's skills look like:

  • You have between 1 and 3 years of experience (or relevant internships) in quality assurance testing experience preferably in a startup environment
  • You are passionate about technology
  • Familiar with Python, Javascript, Git, Linux environments, Continuous integration
  • Previous experience testing complex data-based applications, including preparing, documenting, and executing test criteria, test cases, test scripts, and test plans
  • Previous experience testing large data sets / data transformations / ETL systems
  • Basic web and cloud knowledge
  • You enjoy working in a multicultural / multilingual / multinational environment and speak English fluently
  • You are startup minded, and eager to work in a flexible and evolving environment
  • Excellent communication skills, strong sense of organization
