What you will do

In this role, you will join the Business Development team, responsible for building partnerships to support our products and identifying new development opportunities within and outside of our ecosystem.

Focused on the Asia-Pacific areas and based out of our Singapore office, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining a network of connections within the ecosystem, especially within the shipping industry (dry bulk & tankers)
• Building partnerships within the industry to help enriching our data
• Identifying and opening new business opportunities to support the company’s growth
• Gathering and analysing information about products, providers, and any aspect of the environment needed to support strategic decision making

This is a hands-on role as the first representative of the Business Development team based in APAC; and your role might evolve over time to adjust to the requirements of our rapidly growing company.

What we are looking for

You would be a good fit if:

  • - you have 3 to 5 years of experience in the shipping/maritime/commodities industry and a very good knowledge and understanding about these markets
  • you are a self-starter who can initiate ideas and create his own opportunities
  • you enjoy interacting with people and building lasting relationships. You have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • you are comfortable working with Excel or other type of structured data - you are willing to frequently travel in APAC, as well as occasionally to other regions
  • above all, you have a deep interest in shipping/commodities and are excited by the opportunity to join a fast-growing company
