What you will do

We are looking for an API developer who can help with developing our APIs, creating an API portal, writing documentation/content to increase adoption and supporting our clients and account management team by responding to questions on our existing APIs. This team member will work alongside our frontend team as well as the backend team to push our platforms forward into the future. We work in an agile environment and our current tech stack is Python, Scala, PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch. What we are looking for

Requirements :

  • 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer preferred
  • Ability to write unit-tested and maintainable code
  • Expertise working with and building a RESTful API
  • Scala development using Play framework
  • Knowledge of constructing PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch query strings and fine-tuning them for performance.
  • Caching strategies and implementation
  • Ability to operate in Agile / Scrum development environments
  • Ability to provide innovative, creative solutions to tasks/problems

Bonus Points :

  • Understanding of Big Data platforms and ETL in the context of Big Data.
  • Python server development using Django, Flask, Bottle or other python frameworks
  • Experience with BI reporting software (Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI, etc)
  • Expertise with Linux and deployment schemes using a configuration management tool such as Ansible / Puppet / Chef / Salt

  4. Half day with the engineering team to assess the culture fit and help the candidate see our day to day
